Join CURC at AASHE
CURC is hosting a Sunday workshop, conference sessions and networking get-together’s at this year’s AASHE conference (Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education), October 10-12 at the Denver Convention Center. Join your fellow recycling colleagues from colleges and universities across the country to share best practices, compare notes and network. Folks in town Saturday night will get together for a "Meet and Greet” social at the Paramount Cafe two blocks from the convention center. We reserved a back room for collegiate recyclers to socialize and have dinner in a relaxed informal setting. Come join us Saturday night!
Sunday, October 10 - CURC Workshop
8am to 12pm
Fee: $50

The annual CURC workshop will include a combination of structured presentations and facilitated breakout discussions on collegiate recycling topics ranging from hauling contracts to office supply exchange programs to engaging students on waste reduction issues.   Bring mugs, shirts and other promotional items from your program for the grab bag exchange. Presentations include:

Topic:  Overview of Materials Management as a framework to approach procurement and waste reduction operations on college campuses.

Topic: Case study presentation on MSU’s new $13 million Surplus Store and Recycling Center.
Monday and Tuesday, October 11 and 12
CURC members have submitted a number of collegiate recycling session abstracts. We’ll have details in late August on the session topics days and times.
Monday, October 11 - CURC Annual Meeting
Join CURC steering committee members for a lunch time members meeting. Grab lunch from the conference catering and bring your plate to our meeting room TBA for a brief 45 minute update on CURC’s status and plans for the coming year.
